About 1200 kilometres lie between the coastal town of La Baule in the Département Loire-Atlantique and Hendaye in the Basque Country. Here, on the French Atlantic coast, fine sandy beaches alternate with pine forests, the salt marshes of Guérande, dune landscapes and impressive nature. Cities such as Bordeaux, Nantes, La Rochelle, Royan and Bayonne make the region just as attractive as numerous nature reserves, for example La Brière, L’Etang de Cousseau and Le Courant d’Huchet, as well as idyllic campsites only some footsteps away from the Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by nature.
Off the coast, Oléron, Ré and Noirmoutier enchant with French island flair and idyllic fishing villages, the latter can also be found at the picturesque Cap Ferret. The “Atlantic Coast France” destination comprises a total of 35 tourist partners, including two French regions, six départements, numerous camping and glamping providers and the holiday accommodation of Gîtes de France in Pays de la Loire.
